LA Pilates now offers a comprehensive set of equipment  

The LA Pilates motto is: “The fun and friendly workout you actually look forward to.” And with seven teachers and 57 classes to choose from, using a full suite of equipment designed to work every part of your body, it couldn’t be easier to find something to suit you.  

Lucy Angell has run LA Pilates in Heron Way for nearly four years, and her business has seen inexorable growth. Having started with a six-bed reformer studio on the ground floor, she moved upstairs with 10 beds, and in late April opened on both floors with a comprehensive set of Pilates machinery including towers, vertical poles, mats and chairs.  

“We now have a full system to everyone under one roof - not many places offer as comprehensive a system as we do,” said Lucy. “Each machine targets a different part of the body, and as a teacher you see the difference that makes to people’s lives – not just fitness or looking better, but feeling comfortable in everyday life. 

 “For clients, it offers the freedom to tailor your own journey and choose what supports your goals, whether through group classes or one-to-one sessions if you’re lacking in confidence or coming back from injury. 

 “And from a teacher’s perspective, it means we can offer group classes with everyone on the same kit at the same time, which enables us to focus.” 

With new custom-made flooring and lighting, clients can expect to be wowed by the studio refresh. “It will look spectacular – I've put my heart and soul into it,” says Lucy. “It’s everything I’ve wanted in a studio, in one place, which is super-exciting.”
